Day 30

Today I continued to rehearse the presentation and prepare for tomorrow. I am very nervous, but I am also excited. I am so thankful for the opportunity to participate in this internship. I have learned so much during this internship, more than I would have ever learned in high school. The people were also amazing. Everybody was very helpful and my fellow interns were so awesome, I really am going to miss them. I will admit, I was very hesitant about this opportunity because it does take up almost the entire summer, but I am so thankful that I did. I can't believe tomorrow is the end, these past six weeks flew by so quickly. Farewell!

Day 29

Today, I spent the morning going over my presentation to make sure that I knew what I was going to say. All of the interns except for Hudson went to Chili's for lunch, and we got appetizers, a main course, and dessert. After we came back from lunch, all of the interns presented and got valuable feedback about their presentations.

Day 28

Anoop and I continued to work on the presentation today. He came in at 12:00 so I continued to go over my slides and what I would say. After lunch, we went over it with Joe, who gave us some feedback but said that we were in very good shape. Hopefully the dry run tomorrow will go well.

Day 25, 26, 27

For the past several days, Anoop and I have been working on our final presentation. We have gone through the presentation with Joe many times, and we got more advice every time. Slowly, we are becoming more and more comfortable with presenting it, and we are improving the flow each day.

Day 24

This morning, Joe went over the presentation with Anoop and I and gave us more tips to make it better. We still need more pictures and videos and a little more reorganization. I began to go back and measure the freshman program for tracking location with FIJI, rather than with a ruler like I did the first time. This way, it is a little easier to explain and appears more professional and accurate. After lunch, I went with Emerald, Tania, and Tyler to the University of Rochester to learn about their imaging machine, which is like a large version of MISHA, the machine that Hudson and Emerald have been operating. I understood some of the terminology and processes used. After this, I went with Tania and Emerald to Home Depot to find a piece that they need for a metal frame. When I came back to the Carlson building, I continued to work on the final presentation. I mostly added more pictures and reorganized a couple slides.
